Hi and welcome to the subterranean art exchange! This is a project that works on a number of levels.
It's an experiment in telepathic or extrasensory perception.
It's a chance to have fun and express yourself with spontaneous, informal art.
It’s a way to win cash prizes.
It’s a way to make contacts with people in unexpected ways and based on seemingly “random” connections.
It’s a chance to participate in a cool experimental project, the results of which will possibly be used in a book.
The Project
So here's my weird project my friends. I realize it's a little hard to get things like this going, to get them rolling in the popular imagination, but before dismissing me as some kind of nut with poor web design skills (I admit it, I'm no geek but this site will explain everything you need to know) check it out with an open mind. I remind you that things (i.e. of a psychical nature) happen if you give them half a chance. So humor me and participate, just this once, or at least leave me some feedback on the email address provided on the contact info page. There's very little hassle to it on your part. I think if you give it a shot you'll find it at least interesting. And at most... very interesting. And of course you could win a cash prize. But really that's just something to give it a little extra initial appeal (ok, and me some modest revenue for my efforts). What will really prove intriguing is seeing some random piece of artwork from somebody you've never met come in the mail and then starting to attempt The Subterranean Art Connection. Read on.
Oh and one more thing - ANYBODY'S GOT 10 BUCKS THEY CAN POP INTO AN ENVELOPE!!!!!
Here are the active steps of the project in easy to read list form:
1. Make a piece of graphic art work (i.e. drawing or painting) that can fit into either an ordinary or manilla enveliope. You can spend some time on this if you wish, but a quick sketch that takes a minute on an ordinary piece of paper will work fine. You're encouraged to be quick and spontaneous. Just be free with it and create something. Pretty much anything will do. Since it's going through the mail you don't want to get too concerned with its material state. It may get smudged or wrinkled and that's alright.
2. Send the piece of artwork in to the address on the Contact and Payment Info page along with $10.00 and a self addressed, stamped envelope.
3. When we receive this from you, we will select another participant's graphic art piece (from anywhere in the country) and send it to you. We will also send your art piece to them. Your name and address and that of your "partner artist" are entered together in our database.
4. When you receive this piece of artwork remove it from the envelope, sit down with it for a little while, concentrate on it, and try to get impressions. You will be establishing a kind of telepathic link with the other participant this way.
5. After we get enough submissions we will hold a standard lottery style raffle. A portion of the monies received becomes the prize fund. We will randomly choose a participant and whoever has this person's artwork will win a cash prize. Obviously the more people we get to send in their graphic art work the bigger the prize will be and the more fun will be had by all. If I get enough participants I may even create other ways to win prizes so there are more chances to win. So tell your friends about it if you get the chance.
6. Write down your techniques, impressions, and experiences during the time leading up to the raffle (called the "experimentation/raffle period") as you experiment with making telepathic contact with the artist. Email them to the address on the Contact and Payment info page. If you don't have access to email, snail mail it to the address on the same page. More on this part of the project below.
7. After the raffle is over, the winner will be posted on this web site. I'll also reveal the identity of your partner artist (to you, not everyone), either by email or by snail mail if you don't have an email address. The two of you are free to make contact at that point. This is the point when you can verify any facts or impressions about your partner artist or others involved in the project that you may have received in your telepathic work. If you have sent us some interesting experiences they may be featured (with your permission of course) on this website or used in the book!
About The Telepathic Experimentation
So there you have the project. The idea here is to just play around with making telepathic contact with your "partner artist" using the picture they made. The way you do it is totally up to you, and variety is the point here. Actually, I've got some ideas for a later book about experiences people have, so I'd like to get varied ones. I have a list of suggested means of contacting the artist you've been paired with in the page called Particiption and Experimentation ideas. Check that out of just think of your own.
What I'm envisioning is a kind of telepathic network of people using the creative qualities of art to encourage extrasensory, mind - to - mind contact. Checking out somebody's artwork is already a kind of look into their "subconscious." Well what do you think that subconscious is but a COLLECTIVE subconscious. ALL MINDS ARE ONE. I'm sure you've heard statements like that before, but have you ever wondered what would happen if we took an idea like that that a little more simply and directly, rather than pretending we knew what it really meant and then forgetting about it? What would happen if we tried to actually put it into practice? Well this project is my attempt to do just that - put it into practice.
So it really doesn't matter whether you "succeed" in remote viewing or reading the thoughts of your partner artist to the extent you hope or not. You're already establishing a link by receiving the art piece.and that alone is interesting. It's all a question of degree. Some of you my be naturally more "psychic" (I don't like that word because it's overused) or telepathic than others but all of us are telepathic to some degree simply because we're all one mind as I say above there.
I'm hoping that as a network this will function on levels not always readily apparent. You could try thinking of this RADIALLY - that is, you're not just contacting the partner artist, but also others involved in the project. The partner artist is just your initial link, you first connection. At any rate just play around with it and be open to the idea that a network of minds can form spontaneously. That's the hope and we'll see what happens.
Be sure and take good notes on your attempts and all the impressions you receive and just send them into the email address provided during what I'm calling the "experimentation/raffle" period. That means the time period before the raffle is announced. After this period, the winner of the raffle is posted on the website (with their permission) and you'll be given the email address of your partner artist, unless you specifically request us not to share your email with them or theirs with you. Then the two of you can make as much contact as you wish.

I Want Your Input
I want not only accounts of your experiences with the artwork/telepathy attempts but also your comments and ideas in general. If you can think of another type of experiment we could try with this network of psychic artists please feel free to email them to me. I may just try them out. There is definitely room to "get into the action" here if you've got some interesting ideas.
Some Final Thoughts
The eventual goal of this experiment is to have a network of people that are connected in a "network" that's deeper and more paranorml than the internet. A kind of true telepathic internet. This will develop as people first establish telepathic links and then eventually meet each other. The hope is that, beyond the literal results of the experiment, the "random" nature of the meetings and their out of the ordinary basis will lead to interesting contacts and an interesting network of minds. You may even wish to continue experimenting telepathically with that same artist in some way after the raffle period is over. Or you may simply become friends.
Since you can communicate physically with people only AFTER you've been attempting contact on a mind level, the contacts made may prove different and deeper in some way. After you meet, both of you will probably be discussing techniques and other experiences you've had with the project when you do contact them physically, everyone involved can learn a lot about the telepathic process.
As you participate in subsequent raffe/experimentation periods you'll meet more of the participants, first on a telepathic, then physical level. Assuming that people who have participated once will want to participate again in a similar scenario, or whetever else we decide to do, a community of people founded on psychical contact will develop. These core participants (or anyone who is involved, really) can suggest other activities and approaches. This can lead to futher branchings and flowerings of the project. Let's make this a community like no other - a community of telepathic artists!
